A lot of money is currently made in the medical marijuana industry these days and the future shows the industry is growing at a fast rate. If legal marijuana markets stopped existing there would be lose thousands of jobs and revenue for the states. Market for medical cannabis is estimated to be worth $7 billion and by 2020 will be worth more than $20 billion. Which will put a dent in the black market trade of cannabis. The Green Rush is showing investors are eager to invest and among them is Peter Thiel. Peter Thiel is a Silicon Valley billionaire part of Donald Trump’s transition team. Donald Trump is for profitable business.
The issue of medical cannabis isn’t on the top of Donald Trumps list of issues to handle in the Federal Government. For the belief that the states should handle the issue on a local level. Plus the government has higher priority issues to handle.
These type of thoughts “below” show that Donald Trump is for legal cannabis for medical benefits, weakening power of drug czars and would rather leave legalization determined by the states. Keeping medical cannabis a local issue.

Gallup polls showed that support for legal marijuana hit 60% in October and medical cannabis to be near 90%. Which is vast supporter base and politicians don’t want to conflict with their voters specially when their will be chance of re-election.
But Trump would be useful he removed Cannabis from Schedule 1 narcotics list.
